Apologies ....  there is an amendment to our last bit of news.....  the game v Whitehall should be all about a Hurling 

game and not that silly game of football.    Sure anyone can play 'football'....  what do you think.... is 'Hurling' the 

best game in the world or not.  Isn't football only for those who have difficulty seeing ....... and when you get to our 

age, sometime we can't tell the difference what game they are playing....

p.s. we are on our  way now to see the Championship game v St. Marks.  Terrible really when we have to pay in to see some our lads playing, however there is a rumour  going around that they are letting the first 50 people in FREE if they produce their 'old age licence'.   What's da?

The Wait is nearly over.....  the 'promised' rain was delivered and now we are just awaiting the news about the 'Grand Opening'.  Watch this space... Thank you for your co-operation.

Nearly there...   the pitches have been serviced .......we were very fortunate with the drop of rain.......now we need a little bit more and we are 'promised' rain sometime on Thursday.    Many thanks to all the lads who helped to make this possible......We will announce the Grand Opening as soon as possible....  and now we need your support....   because the Senior Footballers are playing their Championship Game On Thursday next (9th) in Chanel College at 7pm.

The Pitch will be closed (if the weather permits) for essential maintenance from 1^st – 10^th May.  We need a week of more or less ideal weather. This is a task that we have been continuing for the past and has proved it’s worth.  We would ask, please, for your total co-operation in trying to keep even walking off the pitch and arrange training schedules well away from the treated areas.  Much will depend on the weather and we will try to keep you up-to-date with all developments. The signs will go up when the task begins.  Again, please bear with us. Even if you see children ‘playing’ on the area after pitch treatment – they are doing harm to the treatment and may suffer from the effects of the fertilizer if they happen to fall and get any type of ‘cut’.

There are some very interesting games ahead that would welcome your support.  The Minor Hurling team have a special request and need supporters with transport for their game on Monday leaving the club at 5.45pm going to St. David’s School and back at 8.30pm.  Please tell Paul Williams that you will be available to help out this really up-and-coming team.  The completed list of fixtures are;

The catering for after training will cease after next Thursday.  We just hope that this service has been beneficial and you can show your appreciation by purchasing our latest set of raffle tickets for the Premium Seats in Croker - two of which will be issued to each player in the coming week.  If by any chance you need any more please let us know.

The saga which begun last August is almost finished - within 24 hours - INI 754 will become ZV10253.  Just to let you know that INI 754 was born on 1st February, 1965 andd was adopted by Erins Isle ten years later at a cost of 1000 punts - which was a lot of money in those days considering that houses were going for that plus a few more punts then.

She became well known in the area since - when she arrived, she had a full set of 'hair' (known as cabs now a days - and was very nearly joining the present day C.A.B.S./N.A.M.A.).   However after many 'games/hurdles (nearly said 'hurleys') the job is nearly done.  How many pitches has she (INI 754/ZV10253) manacured in those fifty odd years.

Thank you all for your patience and co-operation and the main thing then is to find a  sponsor for the new reg plates.  Any ideas/offers will be gratefully recdeived.
